About Us
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers is the largest electrical union in the world. The IBEW represents workers' rights in all areas of the electrical industry. The National Electrical Contractors Association is the management association for electrical contractors.
IBEW Local 347's office is in Des Moines, Iowa and represents 2200 members working throughout 28 counties in central Iowa. Our members are skilled professionals working in the construction, maintenance, broadcasting, and manufacturing fields.
Careers
Electricians install and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Lighting, power, security, telecommunications, electrical motors, transformers and building automation components all operate through electrical systems assembled, installed, and wired by electricians.
